Description:	Our Spring concert explores the light and shade of the choral repertoire, with allusions to the journey from sin to salvation that is at the heart of Easter for many. A programme of two halves broadly follows that journey, featuring Poulenc's Four Lenten Motets (Quatre Motets Pour un Temps de Pénitence) and his Salve Regina in a first half that gives most of its time over to Jonathan Dove's Missa Brevis. The second half starts in pleading mode, with Tallis's Salvator mundi and Purcell's Remember Not Lord Our Offences, before coming right up to date with Kerensa Briggs's Media vita. Britten's Hymn of St. Columba is a tiny jewel before we close with two triumphant anthems from Jonathan Dove again: his Seek Him That Maketh The Seven Stars followed by Praise Him With The Sound Of The Trumpet.
